FastFit is our design methodology that allows the builder to assemble large portions of our kits quickly - and without a jig. It offers extra strength where needed, and reduces builder's need to sand, clamp, or "fine tune" the shape of parts before fitting. All parts are extremely accurate - a must to reduce build time. The system also ensures straight construction. Modellers will find that laser cut parts are designed to compensate for the natural misbehaviour of wood. FastFit also helps the builder to lock components together in a fashion that will prevent twist, warp, or even tricky alignment processes. The primary function of FastFit is to allow even the most novice of builders turn out a straight and solid product. Guesswork, and the potential for human error is greatly reduced.
Examples of how FastFit is greatly different then standard laser-cut parts is how you assemble our products. Almost all portions of our kits can be built in your lap. Most of the wings in our kits can be 80% assembled before needing glue. This helps the builder become familiar with how the wing is constructed, and brings great understanding and confidence to the builder. It's as if they build one before.
One of the clear benefits of FastFit design technology is the reduction in build time. Modellers can experience framing up a fuselage or wing in as little as an hour.
